Biography
As a photographer I enjoy working with available light to create the mood and atmosphere within each image emphasising on the colour and texture to allow the viewer to lose themselves within.
Unlike many photographers I do not feel that I have a recognisable style as I like to wander about depending on my location, be it an urban city, landscape or even a holiday resort.
I enjoy photographing at night time when the majority of the world is resting, capturing recognisable, picturesque locations along with unknown mystical spaces; places people may avoid after dark or by looking at the location in a different perspective compared to passers by.
During daylight I seek out spaces where the light casts soft yet hard lines where shadows, texture, colour and structure are incorporated.
My graduation exhibition in 2005 was held at the Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane and this was the highlight of my degree for me. I was able to exhibit both of my pieces from my final year, a series of 3 and a series of 5, I still have the exhibition prints to this day as I have found it difficult to part with them. The pieces that I exhibited can still be found on their website www.freerange.org.uk under the year 2005.
